The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in the state of California he was 55 years old.

The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The influential game designer passed away following his car crashed and caught fire on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, as reported by.

"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
