The Streaming Giant Chooses Spot-On Actor for Bentham in the Hit Series Season 3

The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the major clash won’t unfold until season 3, and a adored, popular member has now been chosen.

Netflix announced this week that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bon Clay. This character can use their power to morph into an exact copy of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. Escola, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that character reimagined as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the initial comic and cartoon version.

This performer is joined by a number of recently announced actors tasked with bringing the group to life, featuring chief Sir Crocodile, played by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and a familiar face, who is also part of the cast as the monarch of the desert kingdom.

Though this character is a key figure of the group, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. With the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this marks a notable change in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could signal additional alterations to the narrative framework.

Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the character. In addition to their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and multiple awards for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded roles.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is set to return for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
